Philosophy of Education
Mr. McGuffey believes EVERY student has the right to a quality education and that every child is an active participant in learning, allowed to move about and respectfully explore the classroom environment. The learning environment is strategically designed with intentionality and purpose using methods to encourage development of internal self-discipline and intrinsic motivation.
Mr. McGuffey believes every child should be comfortable working at his or her own pace and making choices between working alone or with a group. Instruction must be customized and adapt to students' learning styles and development levels.
